Dalmatia, in the very heart of the Mediterranean basin, is a region of very temperamental but hospitable and friendly people. Karst fields with fertile olive groves have always provided simple and high-quality ingredients which are carefully prepared, and which even today give you a unique experience.

Proud member of Routes of the Olive Tree

The olive tree has marked by its presence, not only the landscape, but also the daily life of the Mediterranean people. As a mythical and sacred tree, it is associated with their rituals and customs and has influenced their way of life, creating a millenary civilization, the “civilization of the olive tree”.

The Routes of the Olive Tree follow the footsteps of this civilization, from Greece to the Black Sea through the entire Mediterranean basin.

For the quality of olive oil in a national competition of Croatian olive grower, for the 2021 harvest.

For the best cosmetic product based on olive oil for peeling soap with olive pits at a national competition of olive growers in Croatia for 2022.

Archaeological Museum in Split

The museum ceded us historical artifacts related to the importance of olives and olive oil in the areas of Split and Dalmatia.

Split City Museum

The museum ceded us archival material that testifies to the importance of olive growing in Dalmatia throughout the Middle Ages and into the middle of the 20th century.

Split Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum in Split helped us to create an overview of the highest achievement of olive growing development and the traditional way of producing olive oil in this area.

Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb

The Botanical Garden in Zagreb has helped us create the museum’s botanical collection, which we maintain and supplement yearly.

Individuals and families

Reservations are not required; an entrance fee is charged.
A visit to the museum and the park includes an expert guide.

Visitors to the museum can visit the Klis Fortress with the same ticket.

Groups

Prior notification is required for group visits.
Group visits do not include tickets to Klis Fortress unless otherwise agreed.

Schools

We organize educational workshops for primary and secondary school students. Workshop topics follow a curriculum. Workshops take place only during the school year.

House rules Olive museum

Access enabled

The museum and park are adapted for people with disabilities.

A toilet for people with disabilities is available.

Car parking

We can provide parking for up to 50 cars. Bicycles and motorbikes are parked in a separate part of the parking lot.

Bus parking

Parking for five buses with the possibility of maneuvering is provided in front of the complex.

Visit to park

It is forbidden to pick plants in the park. Each plant is marked with a name and a Q-code. By scanning the Q-code with your mobile phone, you will be able learn and read more about the plant.

Photographing

Photographing and filming is prohibited when visiting the manufacture of delicacies. In other parts of museum and park, it is allowed for personal use.

Pets

When visiting the museum and park, dogs must be on a leash. Staff in the restaurant will ensure that your pet gets water.
